This will be the first St George’s Day classic rally and will hopefully provide drivers with the opportunity to get their vehicles out of winter hibernation and get them ready for the season. We are planning on a thirty to forty vehicle, eighty mile run with a single pit-stop and an end of rally buffet meal.

On Sunday April 30th we will be holding our fourth Faversham Charter Market Doggy Day in association with Happy Endings Rescue and The Dog Ate It Gourmet Dog Treats. Previous Doggy Days have been so popular that this year for the first time it will be a dedicated special event on a Sunday rather than part of the Saturday Market. A celebration of all things doggy we will be hosting a fun dog show with our friends at Happy Endings Rescue - classes include Cutest Couple (one must be a dog) and Best Sausage Eater (sausages from award winning local butchers Baldys) - and will be joined on the market by dog related businesses and charities and, we hope, all those dogs that hang out in Faversham and beyond.

Residents and visitors can see the many beautiful and mainly traditional vessels that have been invited to moor in the upper regions of the Creek over the weekend There will be Thames Sailing Barges, Dutch Barges, tugs, smacks and many smaller boats. The vessels will be ‘dressed overall’ which makes a colourful display, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to see inside these historic vessels and to understand how the large coastal barges were designed to ‘shoot the bridges’ with just a man and a boy as crew. See a short video on Find Us/Media page.
