Fabulous food and drink in Faversham

The Faversham area is becoming a fantastic hotspot for local food and drink.  We have some terrific local growers and producers – some of whom trade on Faversham Market such as Simmons Fruit & Veg, Gilda Bakery, Mad Cat Brewery, Kent Cider, Hollowshore Fisheries and Cheesemakers of Canterbury.

We’re also spoilt for great places to eat and shop for food locally – whether you fancy some fine dining, a quick snack or need to pick up some delicious ingredients.

Our recommendations

Grain & Hearth in Gatefield Lane, off Preston Street, bakes and serves delicious breads and pastries and is a great spot for lunch or a coffee.

The Sondes Tea Room in Selling not only serves truly scrumptious vegetarian hot and cold lunches and cakes, but also has a fab little village stores next door.

The Phoenix Tavern in Abbey Street has recently been awarded two Rosettes by the AA and creates top notch lunches and dinners using local ingredients and served with a warm welcome!

We can’t not mention Macknade Fine Foods on Selling Road which is one of the best food and drink halls in the region.  Famous for stocking both local and European food and ingredients – with many sustainable options too such as self-service dried food.
