If you’re looking for Father’s Day gift inspiration – don’t forget to pay a visit to Preston Street. Faversham’s high street has a large number of independent, local shops and businesses and is a great place to find a gift for that special man in your life.
There are also great options for a lovely Father’s Day meal or a nice spot for a drink.
The Hobby Shop is the perfect place to pick up plenty of fabulous gifts for dad including model kits, Scalextric, Warhammer items or even a jigsaw.
If your Dad is into his cycling, then The Bike Warehouse has a wide selection of bike accessories, or if he loves reading then the Fleur Book Shop is the perfect spot to pick up a unique or rare book. They also have a wide selection of very reasonably priced paperbacks, perfect for smaller pockets.
Check out Gridlock Faversham or L Jay’s Attic for stylish men’s clothing, or No.77 for picture frames, ornaments and other accessories. Oxfam is also a great place to find Fairtrade gifts.
Don’t forget there are Best of Faversham Markets on the 1st and 15th June. These are a great opportunity to find a locally made, unique gift for your Dad including ceramics, art, wooden carvings and glassware. For extra choice, visit the Artisan Fair in the Alexander Centre which also runs on the Best of Faversham days.
If you fancy taking your favourite gentleman out for a beer or a bite to eat, then Preston Street has a good selection of places to eat and drink. These include the Creeker’s Tap, Furlongs Ale House, George’s Turkish Restaurant, The Limes public house and restaurant, the Old Wine Vaults and the Railway Hotel.
Not forgetting the Prince of India and Spice Lounge for the dad that loves a curry!
