UPDATE FOR FAVERSHAM BUSINESSES
Background:
Did you know that Faversham is believed to be home to one of the oldest markets in the country? The market is recorded in the Domesday book, so we know that it has been trading for at least a thousand years!
To celebrate the fabulous market town of Faversham, Faversham Market is holding a one-off Millennium Market on Sunday 26th May.
The plan is to pack the town centre with stalls, displays, music, entertainment, activities and experiences, relating to Faversham over the centuries.
This event will be extensively publicised.
Getting involved:
If you are an organisation or business based in Faversham, there are number of ways you can get involved:
- Organise an activity within your business to commemorate the event (which can be promoted by us as part of the Millennium Market)
- Dress your shop window or business front in celebration of the town’s rich history
- Help promote the event using our posters and flyers
If you are a town centre business that does not usually open on a Sunday, you may wish to open and make the most of the anticipated high footfall on 26th May.
