Lampshades by WeirdandGilly are a Kent-based duo making beautiful handmade lampshades and cushions from contemporary & vintage fabrics. They also make bespoke lampshades from vintage Ordnance Survey and Bartholomew maps, which make wonderful personalised gifts and keepsakes featuring the places that are special to you.
Also included in our map range are local map tea towels and cushions featuring the Kent coastline. Lampshades by WeirdandGilly started in the summer of 2013, when 2 friends and colleagues, Janine Frost and Nicola Gillham, went on a lampshade making workshop to make a couple of lampshades for their homes. Once the basic skills were acquired there was no stopping them and the making obsession started!
